Women of Hope
All women of Hope are counted as Women of the churchwide Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (WELCA).
At Hope Lutheran all women are invited to actively participate in the work of the church through general WELCA meetings, Circle groups and service projects in the community. WELCA sponsors an annual bazaar with proceeds distributed among local, national, and international mission projects...
The four general meetings during the year include an educational program and an annual Thank Offering Service. This special offering is made to the churchwide WELCA. In addition, WELCA and the Adult Activities group sponsor a Christmas brunch with a Christmas program, food and a special offering that is distributed to a local Christmas mission project.
Three circles meet monthly, beginning in September with a break during the summer months
- MARTHA CIRCLE 3rd Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.
- RUTH CIRCLE 3rd Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.
- LYDIA CIRCLE 3rd Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
- GATHER BIBLE STUDY (no circle) 2nd Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
In addition to a bible study each circle participates in a local and national mission project
Every woman at Hope is invited to attend any of these circle groups. Most meetings are held in the church; however, it is recommended that you contact the church office to confirm the location.
Spring of 2019 - Four Sessions
The Gospel of John: Meetings with Jesus
The study will meet Jesus through his interactions with various characters within the gospel. Their conversations beckon us to explore and grow in faith.
The May session: Two-way blessings: This will focus on inter generational relationship in Scripture.
The Fall/Winter 2019 session: to be determined
The bible studies are published in the Gather Magazine. You may subscribe to the magazine on the WELCA web site. There are also copies of the magazine in the church library for your use.
Prayerfully consider joining one of these groups. Everyone is welcome.
