A Message from Pastor Lynnae

Holy Week

Truly, the most important week in our faith is Holy Week. In the story of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, Holy Week is the climax. As churches display the cross in their sanctuaries, the protestant church usually has an empty cross. We celebrate that Jesus is NOT on the cross, that he has risen and that the resurrection is a promise for us as well. Yet, to see toward that empty cross, we must move through Holy Week. We must remember Passover, the last supper, the towel, and basin. We must sit at the foot of the cross that Jesus did hang and die upon. If you ignore Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, you miss the importance of Easter. They might be sad and distressing, however that is what Jesus came to conquer – death its very self and our own sinful natures. His sacrifice saves us. Truly, it is the most important week of our faith life.

Have a blessed Holy Week!

With Hope,

Pastor Lynnae
