HopeCare Happenings
Caterpillars and Butterflies (infants)
Most recently we are focused on sensory activities. We have played with Chia Seeds and plan on playing with Jello! We also have a few new faces that have started in Caterpillars and Butterflies! We are off to a great start for the New Year!
Sprouts (ones)
This month in the sprouts we made homemade kinetic sand. We explored and compared the different textures to other kinetic sands. The kids had fun trying it. Most thought it tasted weird! It was a fun experiment and we can’t wait to do more!
Blooms (Twos)
The Blooms rang in the New Year with lots of fun activities. We did a few New Year-themed art projects and had very special New Years snacks. We have been doing lots of arts and crafts using different mediums. We have been working hard to learn our shapes and colors. We finally got back to the tumble bus last week after missing a few weeks due to the holidays and the weather. We are hoping the snow starts to slow down so we can get outside and enjoy some of the outdoors.
Disciples (School age)
This past month has gone fast for the school age kids, especially because they were out of school for break and snow days. One afternoon was spent packaging hunger bags for the church to distribute. We also enjoyed arts and craft projects, as well as going to the bounce house. One of the really snowy days we went sledding at Tuthill Park and it was a blast!
