HopeCare Happenings

Wow! Can you believe it’s already mid-August? We have been busy. Field trips, swimming, bowling, trampoline gym, Storybook Land Theater, volunteering at the Banquet. The list is long and we’ve done it all.

Our mission project for the month of Aug. is the collection of feminine hygiene products, in support of Hope Lutheran’s efforts, along with fleece fabric and school supplies that will be donated to the Sioux Falls School District for their ongoing initiatives.

We’re just around the corner from school starting. But first comes blessing of the backpacks, and of course we must celebrate with our end-of-summer block party! Aug. 21 is THE DAY. All are invited to join us as we kick things off at our 9am service with blessing of backpacks and teachers. A HopeCare open house will follow with two opportunities to tour and see and learn about all the recent programming and building enhancements, offered at 10:15am for general public and 4pm for those interested in Morning Preschool. Later on, at 4pm, starts the real fun. Bring your lawn chairs, empty bellies and party hats as we kick of Summer Bash! Starring children’s entertainer, Phil Baker, there will also be inflatables, food trucks, sweet treats and more.
