HopeCare Happenings

May was a month filled with ends and beginnings. We said goodbye to our Morning Preschool classes as we celebrated graduation. Over the last year they have prepared and are now ready for kindergarten. SummerCare kicked off the last day of the month. Many activities and field trips are packed in to keep our kids busy, busy, busy. The Banquet, a feeding ministry in Sioux Falls, made a special visit and we presented them with the food and donations we collected. Animals from the Zoo Mobile dropped in and we enjoyed learning about them, and in some instances touching them.

We are excited about the month of June! Each Wednesday we will play host to Food Truck Wednesdays. All are welcome to attend and enjoy a delicious meal while supporting local businesses. The school age program has a variety of activities, from parks to pools to concerts at the Levitt. It is sure to be lots of fun in the sun! The Blooms (2x) also have a lot of fun in store. They will begin weekly cooking, water days and visits to nearby parks. We are thrilled to have the Sioux Falls Library bookmobile making monthly visits so our teachers can change out books throughout the summer months.

Don’t forget to register for Vacation Bible School, June 20-23! This year we will be submerging ourselves in a perilous assignment to “Seek the Truth” as detectives in faith. Our mission, if accepted, is to help with a top-secret investigation. To learn more and register, click here.
