Quilting Comes to an End
The quilting project at Hope has come to an end. The last quilts were tied on Tue., Jan. 11, 2022. The approximately 40 finished quilts in the “Quilt Room” will be displayed and blessed during the Sun. service Feb. 6 and distributed.
Left over fabric and supplies in the quilt room was shared with Our Redeemer Lutheran, rural Irene, SD and Brandon Lutheran in Brandon, SD.
Members of the congregation are invited to submit names of organizations they believe would benefit from a quilt to the church office. The quilts in October were distributed to McCrossin’s Ranch, Children’s Inn, Children’s Home Society, Union Gospel Mission, and the Veteran’s Alliance in Sioux Falls. Due to the uncertainty involved with overseas shipping none of the quilts will be distributed through Lutheran World Relief.
Quilts may be purchased for $45.00. Checks should be made out to Women of Hope. All of the money will be used to support Lutheran World Relief ministries.
