HopeCare Happenings

With 2020 coming to a close, we look forward to the New Year. Normally, we would have celebrated the Christmas season with classroom parties, goodies galore, and our special Christmas Program performed by HopeCare. This December, things were different. Our teachers had the children practice for the Christmas program as we normally would, but the performance was cancelled as a precaution. We have been thrilled to continue our Chapel program with Pastor Lynnae, who continues to tell us the Greatest Story Ever Told for Christmas. December brought HopeCare some challenges. For the first time since we learned of the dangers of the coronavirus, HopeCare needed to close our Sherman Ave. location due to positive cases of COVID-19. Fortunately, we have since re-opened, and there is light at the end of the tunnel: a vaccine appears to be on the horizon for all. We still intend to practice social distancing and mask wearing, however it is exciting that a “new normal” may soon be here.

We have also been very excited to continue to play outside throughout the month of December! Although it is always wonderful to have a white Christmas, we have been excited to play outside in the green grass well into the winter months.
