Music Notes

The use of music in worship is not only observed by the Christian church, but by every major religion in the world. As long as history has been recorded, sung chant has been part of each faith story because music is integral to who we are and integral to how we worship. In these unsettled times, the power of music to soothe and to uplift can be a huge gift. As we continue to be in more isolation, it is vital that we take care of ourselves and our spirit. I would encourage all of us to be intentional in seeking out music that speaks to our own needs. Do you need assurance? Do you need to be uplifted? Wonderfully, our faith assures us of both.
