HopeCare Happenings

With winter in full force we’ve experienced mornings of snow, wind, and even icicles hanging from our gutters. During this time of year, we have to be creative in how we play. Sometimes, we play outside with all of our winter gear and toys. Other times we have puppet shows inside. Our HopeCare children love to act out our Chapel themes on Thursdays. And of course, we all enjoy the various crafts activities. The school age children even made a snow globe for their parents this year. No matter the weather, we have plenty of ideas for keeping the kids active and creative. The preschool and pre-kindergarten children also have the opportunity to participate in Tumblebus and Soccer Sprouts. More information on these programs can be found on their brochures at HopeCare.

One particularly fun activity this winter was preparing for Hope Care’s preschool Christmas Program, which was held Dec. 12. We had an AMAZING turnout of the children’s family and friends and Hope Lutheran church members. Thank you to all who made this program special!

If you know someone who is looking for child care, we have full time openings in some of our classrooms. Please have them call me at 605-367-1108. I can also be reached via e-mail at hopecaredirector@hopesiouxfalls.org. Don’t forget about our referral program that benefits both families. See your parent handbook for more information.
