Matt’s October Good News Column
The cool air of fall has arrived! We are seeing dew on the grass in the mornings, and the sun is setting earlier each day. Despite this, we are still love having the warm weather around. The children are utilizing the weather as much as we can by playing outside.
The Pandas and Penguins have begun going on their fall field trips. In Sept. we went to the Apple Orchard and picked apples. The children also got to see farm animals and listened to a story about apples during the visit.
I would like to thank all who donated to the Christmas in July giving tree. The children have enjoyed having new toys around. An additional thank you goes to Clark Kool for picking up branches on the morning following the tornados in Sioux Falls. Neither Hope Care or Hope Lutheran Church sustained damage, but the wind took down many branches from our trees on the property.
Hope Care currently has openings. If you know others looking for childcare, please have them call me at 605-367-1108 or via email at hopecaredirector@hopesiouxfalls.org. Don’t forget about the referral program! See your parent handbook for more information.
