Matt’s August Good News Column

It’s hard to believe that we are well into summer and fast approaching the last month of summer care. The HOT weather has meant more inside time in the afternoons, but we have been enjoying the morning temperatures as we can.
Our summer program has been on many field trips throughout the summer. We started bike days for the older kids. They bring their bikes, scooters, boards and other things to play and ride on wheels in the church parking lot. There have been picnics in the park, Storyland Theater at McKennan Park, movie Monday and many other activities throughout the summer. We have had a lot of fun.
Hope Care has a Christmas in July tree in the narthex of Hope Lutheran Church. We compiled a wishlist of items the teachers need for their classrooms and added them to the donation list. For more information, contact the Hope Care office at 332-2531.
We also hosted an activity and provided information about HopeCare to those attending Family Fest Sat., July 27. A special thank you to Jamie Winklepleck for manning the station the first part of the day.
We have a few infant openings coming available. There is a referral bonus for referring any new children to Hope Care. To learn more, contact Matt, Hope Care director.
