A Message from Pastor Lynnae

I like coffee. One of the first things I do every morning is get myself a cup of coffee. It seems that the only times that I don’t start my day with coffee is if I have a doctor appointment and they don’t want me to eat or drink anything. But, wow, I better get some caffeine soon or I will get a headache!

1 Timothy 4;15 says, “Put these things into practice, devote yourself to them, so that all may see your progress.” For the month of October we will apply an understanding of faith practices as our sermon series – “These Things.”

I will highlight faith practices as vital “Things” to our journey and witness.

Like my need and enjoyment of coffee, the early church found faith practices as important to their formation. Some of the practices that I will examine are: Faithfulness, Thankfulness, Justice Work, and Living in and with God’s World. If we worked on “These Things” we may find our lives more aligned with God’s purposes. The disciplines of prayer, worship, service, study and even fellowship help to shore up our lives. This is how we are to live as faithful followers of Jesus. Join me in October as we learn about “These Things.”

With hope,

Pastor Lynnae
